Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies vs. Concord Minutemen

Plymouth and Concord are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies will head out to square off against the Concord Minutemen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Plymouth humbled Argos with a 58-28 victory. The Pilgrims/Rockies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Concord beat New Prairie 39-30 on Saturday. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Cougars are ranked 408th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Plymouth is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Concord, their record is now 8-4.

Plymouth came up short against Concord in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 51-42. Can Plymouth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
