Football Recap: Montgomery Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Montgomery dropped to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 41-31 to the Woodbridge Barrons. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 28-7 to the Barrons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Woodbridge, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. 41 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Joshua Allen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 235 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Kyle Campos was another key player, rushing for 88 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Looking ahead, Montgomery will face off against Sayreville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Bombers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Woodbridge, they will challenge Summit at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
