Basketball Recap: Jaiden Graham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Etowah over Buford

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Etowah couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buford Wolves.

Etowah's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Graham, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Graham a new career-high in points. Caitlyn Garcia was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine boards and seven assists.

Etowah's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Buford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season.

Etowah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-45 defeat against Newton on the 25th.
