Basketball Game Preview: Western Brown Broncos vs. Eastern Warriors

Western Brown is 1-6 against Eastern since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Western Brown Broncos will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Eastern Warriors. Western Brown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Western Brown took their match with ease, bagging a 66-19 win over Clinton-Massie. With the Broncos ahead 47-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Western Brown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was J Jenike, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points and five steals. Jenike has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lu Waters, who posted 11 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Eastern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 48-43 to Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington.

Western Brown now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for Western Brown against Eastern in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 65-20 win. Does Western Brown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
