Football Recap: McQueen Lancers vs. Carson Senators
After flying high against Foothill last Friday, McQueen came back down to earth. The McQueen Lancers fell just short of the Carson Senators by a score of 31-28 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lancers have suffered since September 1, 2023.
Despite the loss, McQueen still got an impressive performance from Cooper Craft, who rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 201 yards on ten of 20 attempts. That's the most rushing yards Craft has posted since back in October of 2023. Lorenzo Tabua handled things on the ground, rushing for 125 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Even though they lost, McQueen was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 418 total yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're total yard total in three consecutive games.

Both might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran up and down the field in their prior games. As for Carson, they will square off against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carson's defense has only allowed 16.2 points per game this season, so Douglas' offense will have their work cut out for them.
