Soccer Recap: Monroe-Woodbury Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Monroe-Woodbury was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Newburgh Free Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders came up short against the Kingston Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Monroe-Woodbury haven't been shut out since back in September.

Monroe-Woodbury's defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for Kingston, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Monroe-Woodbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kingston, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Newburgh Free Academy on the 3rd.
