Baseball Recap: Alliance Christian Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Alliance Christian kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 12-6 to The Christian Academy. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.

Cole Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Corson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Even though they lost, Alliance Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .429.

The Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alliance Christian will welcome Conestoga Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Alliance Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for The Christian Academy, they will host Gloucester County Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
