Softball Recap: Tecumseh Takes a Loss

Tecumseh extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 7-12. They lost 11-0 to the Kenton Ridge Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Arrows' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Kenton Ridge, their record is now 16-0. Considering they have won 11 games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Kenton Ridge's part, Ivee Rastatter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Rastatter has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double.

In other batting news, Brenna Fyffe was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Annie Fincham also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tecumseh will venture away from home to take on Benjamin Logan at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenton Ridge, they will face off against North Union at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
