Football Recap: Verbena Takes a Loss

Verbena lost against Autauga Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils received a blow as they fell 21-6 to the Generals. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Verbena's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Autauga Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Verbena will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maplesville at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Autauga Academy, they will be playing at home against Ellwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Generals will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
