Trumbull and Ridgefield are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Eagles will square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Trumbull is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Trumbull came up short against Norwalk and fell 4-1.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ridgefield duked it out with Greenwich on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 1-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Trumbull's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Ridgefield, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Trumbull beat Ridgefield 5-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
