Basketball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Trinity Christian Academy

After losing to Faustina Academy the last time they met, Trinity Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors managed a 27-22 win over the Faustina Academy Falcons on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Faustina Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Giuliana Nussmeier, who posted five points in addition to five boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Denny, who earned five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Faustina Academy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Trinity Christian Academy beat Faustina Academy by a score of 33-30 on Thursday.
