Central Cabarrus never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against the West Cabarrus Wolverines by a score of 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won three in a row.

Central Cabarrus got a great performance from Tellis Bumgarner as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Bumgarner has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Central Cabarrus' victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Dowd, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Ian Roseboro was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Central Cabarrus' record is now 12-6. As for West Cabarrus, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
