The Burbank Bulldogs will take on the Rouse Raiders on Saturday. Burbank is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Burbank is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past MacArthur 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Evelyn Lopez was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off 12 hits. Lopez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Gianina Valdez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jalyn Ortiz, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Burbank kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Rouse put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Saturday. They didn't even let Tivy on the board, marking the Raiders' second-straight 9-0 shutout. Considering the Raiders have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Burbank has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rouse, they pushed their record up to 19-9-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
