Soccer Preview: Trinity Lutheran vs. Christian Academy        
        
		
             Trinity Lutheran is 1-8 against Christian Academy since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Trinity Lutheran Cougars are on the road again  to play the Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Christian Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Trinity Lutheran really get things going. Trinity Lutheran put the hurt on Seton Catholic with a sharp  7-1 victory on Saturday. It was an even better day for  Kade Gillaspy as  he scored three goals for  his team.
 Something new happened  on Saturday as  Isaiah Carrigan saw his first action of the season, playing 70 minutes against Seton Catholic. Carrigan made the most of the opportunity,  scoring  a goal. A few more games like that and  he might be seeing even more time going forward.
 Meanwhile, Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Cougars 4-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four games by three  goals or more  so far this season.
 Trinity Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that  victory, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Trinity Lutheran came up short against Christian Academy when the teams last played  back in August of 2023, falling  3-1. Can Trinity Lutheran avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
