Softball Recap: Pitman Pride vs. Edison Vikings
Pitman was the 15-1 winner over Edison when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pitman Pride fell just short of the Edison Vikings by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.
Anahi Cervantes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Shelby Woods was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Pitman now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Edison, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Pitman has already played their next contest (against Riverbank), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Edison, they will take on West at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
