Volleyball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Southwest came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Jay Mustangs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dragons have suffered since August 19th.

Southwest was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-17.

With the defeat, Southwest broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-12. As for Jay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Southwest will square off against SA Roosevelt at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Jay, they will face off against LEE at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
