Soccer Recap: Deltona's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After losing to Mainland the last time they met, Deltona decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Deltona Wolves came out on top against the Mainland Buccaneers by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Wolves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Deltona's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 4-10-2. As for Mainland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deltona will challenge Pine Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deltona will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last. As for Mainland, they will face off against DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th.
