North Broward Prep extends home winning streak to eight

Recap: North Broward Prep Eagles vs. St. John Paul II Academy Eagles

The North Broward Prep Eagles waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past St. John Paul II Academy with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. Given North Broward Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while St. John Paul II Academy is ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Broward Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raul Perez ruiz, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Perez ruiz has scored at least a third of North Broward Prep's points. Enrico Borio was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.

North Broward Prep pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for St. John Paul II Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

North Broward Prep will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against American Heritage at 5:30 p.m. St. John Paul II Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Javian Jones and Cristian Rosado.
