Basketball Game Preview: Brackenridge Eagles vs. Hondo Owls

The Brackenridge Eagles will face off against the Hondo Owls at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Brackenridge came into their game last Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 64-37 loss at the hands of Southwest. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brackenridge's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jaymison Porter, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Canizales, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Hondo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 74-39 defeat at the hands of Young Men's Leadership Academy.

Brackenridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hondo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
