If Dooly County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wheeler County, they should've done a better job of containing Nikita James. The Wheeler County Bulldogs walked away with a 44-35 victory over the Dooly County Bobcats on Saturday thanks in part to James, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten boards. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

Ja'Kayla Hooks and Jazlyn Hall certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Hooks posted eight points along with 14 boards and eight blocks, while Hall went 10 for 19 en route to 22 points in addition to four steals and three blocks. That was a full 62.9% of Dooly County's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

The win made it two in a row for Wheeler County and bumps their season record up to 5-15. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points over those games. As for Dooly County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Wheeler County will square off against Treutlen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dooly County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
