Lakewood won the last time they faced Sehome and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Cougars blew past the Mariners 11-1. The  match marked the Cougars' most dominant  win of the  season.
 Katie Krueger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI. She also put up a  triple, which was her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Riley Pevny, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.  Emma Tocco also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
The  victory made it two in a row for Lakewood and  bumps their season record up to 4-6. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Sehome, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season.
 Lakewood and Sehome could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 145th) will meet Sedro-Woolley (ranked 24th)  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile,  Sehome will  square off against  Mount Vernon  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday with a big rank  disadvantage  (235 vs. 74).
