Football Recap: Dolores Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Dolores was riding high fresh off their 28-0 takedown of Rangely two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears took a blow against the Mancos Bluejays on Friday, falling 40-0. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bluejays from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Mancos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Resner, who threw for 152 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Those 152 passing yards gave Resner a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dolores fell to 3-1. As for Mancos, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Dolores will square off against Sargent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears are facing the Farmers at the right time seeing as the Farmers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mancos, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dove Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
