Basketball Recap: Porter Ridge Pirates vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets
Porter Ridge was the 62-60 winner over Forest Hills when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Porter Ridge Pirates came up short against the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets on Saturday, falling 82-58. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Porter Ridge still got an impressive performance from Reid Johannes, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The game was Johannes' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Payne, who posted nine points and five assists.
Landon Blakeney had a dynamite game for Forest Hills, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Blakeney is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Winnegan, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 19 points.
Porter Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Forest Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
