Trinity faced Raymond in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Pioneers never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Pioneers: when they faced off against the Rams last Monday, they had to take a 9-3 defeat.

The win made it two in a row for Trinity and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Raymond, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2-1.

Trinity will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair will be back at it again later today.
