Basketball Recap: Nevis Comes Up Short

Nevis lost against Cherry back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Nevis Tigers received a blow as they fell 74-59 to the Cherry Tigers. The match marked Nevis' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nevis' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Cherry, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0.

Nevis and Cherry should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Nevis (ranked 27th) will meet Laporte (ranked 334th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Cherry will challenge Littlefork-Big Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday up 121 places (4 vs. 125).
