Baseball Recap: Greenback Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Greenback won the last time they faced Oliver Springs and things went their way on Friday too. The Cherokees walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bobcats. That's two games straight that the Cherokees have won by exactly three runs.

Wyatt Campbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Greenback's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Holt, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. JJ Caudill was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Greenback has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Oliver Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-13-1.

As of now, neither Greenback nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
