Jimtown and NorthWood are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Jimmies are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jimtown's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so NorthWood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Things were looking good for Jimtown after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mishawaka Marian. That's two games in a row now that the Jimmies have lost by exactly three runs.

Jimtown saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Cook, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Connor Christman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, NorthWood has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.64 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 12-6 to Warsaw. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 10, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Jimtown and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for NorthWood, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Everything went Jimtown's way against NorthWood in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Jimtown made off with an 8-2 win. Will the Jimmies repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
