Basketball Recap: Moon Valley Takes a Loss

Moon Valley was the 42-35 winner over Peoria when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Moon Valley Rockets had to suffer through a 58-18 loss at the hands of the Peoria Panthers.

Moon Valley's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Aniston Pattershall and Harley Portillo. Pattershall posted four points and eight rebounds, while Portillo put up.

Moon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Peoria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moon Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Desert Sunrise at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peoria, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Poston Butte at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
