Pahokee scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. The contest between them and the Glades Central Raiders didn't end well, with the Pahokee Blue Devils falling 74-56. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the defeat, Pahokee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ja'Tahj Dowdell posted 12 points. Kanyon Burton was another key player, putting up seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glades Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than De'Marques Brown, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Ishmeal Bienvenue, who went 7 for 9 en route to 17 points.

Pahokee's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6. As for Glades Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Pahokee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 35-29 defeat against Atlantic Christian on the 16th. Glades Central has also already played their next contest, a 51-32 win against Moore Haven on the 17th.
