Basketball Game Preview: Governor Mifflin Mustangs vs. Muhlenberg Muhls

Governor Mifflin is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Muhlenberg Muhls at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Governor Mifflin took a 22-point defeat the last time they faced off against Red Land, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs escaped with a win on Friday against the Patriots by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48.

Meanwhile, Muhlenberg put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Methacton 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Muhls have posted since January 22nd.

The win got Governor Mifflin back to even at 1-1. As for Muhlenberg, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Governor Mifflin couldn't quite finish off Muhlenberg when the teams last played back in January and fell 40-38. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
