Recap: Richmond Blue Devils vs. Kingston Cardinals
The Richmond Blue Devils gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against Kingston by a score of 48-37.
Despite the loss, Kingston still got an impressive performance from Austin Deroseau, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Deroseau scored a full 40.5% of Kingston's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Harrington, who scored 2 points along with 10 rebounds.
Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Richmond will take on Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kingston, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against All Saints Central at 7:30 p.m.
