Basketball Game Preview: Crawford Pirates vs. Rio Vista Eagles

The Crawford Pirates will face off against the Rio Vista Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crawford is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Crawford lost to Meyer on the road by a 82-67 margin. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 789th, while the Ravens are ranked 307th).

Meanwhile, Rio Vista suffered their closest loss since November 17, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Bosqueville by a score of 49-47. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Rio Vista, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
