Baseball Game Preview: Downey Vikings vs. Warren Bears

For the second straight game, Downey will face off against Warren. The Vikings will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Bears at 3:15 p.m.

Downey fell victim to Warren and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 1-0. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Downey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie Causley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Warren is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Downey, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
