Sands Dougherty put up the most passer rating he's had since back in November of 2024 on Friday. He threw for 451 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 346 passing yards.

Dougherty and Morro Bay will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cabrillo at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. Dougherty will face off against Gabriel Barraza, the Conquistadores' star quarterback. It's not every day two stars like this collide on the field. So who leaves it the victor?
