Sanford came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 46-40 victory over the Sargent Farmers. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Sargent still got an impressive performance from Angelise Garcia, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points along with six steals and five boards. Kandace Pargin was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.

Sanford pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for Sargent, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
