Basketball Recap: Slidell Finds Playoff Glory Versus Boles

It's playoff time, and Slidell had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 47-37 victory over the Boles Hornets on Friday. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Hornets are ranked 672nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Slidell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points over those games. As for Boles, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-9.

Coming up, Slidell will challenge Lipan on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Lipan sitting on 11 straight wins and Slidell on eight. Boles does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
