Basketball Game Preview: Berks Catholic Saints vs. Eastern York Golden Knights

The Berks Catholic Saints will square off against the Eastern York Golden Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Berks Catholic didn't have too much trouble with Susquehanna Township as they won 61-42. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the HANNA are ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Eastern York beat Big Spring 66-62 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Knights.

Berks Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Eastern York's win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Berks Catholic came up short against Eastern York in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 51-44. Can Berks Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
