Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Crestview

The Jefferson Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Crestview Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Jefferson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Jefferson fell victim to Bluffton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Crestview lost 7-1 to Coldwater on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Crestview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Coldwater are ranked 185th).

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything went Jefferson's way against Crestview in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Jefferson made off with a 5-1 win. In that matchup, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
