Game recap: Davie High School Football Team defeats Reagan

PFAFFTOWN, N.C. - Davie (Mocksville, N.C.) jumped out to an early lead against Reagan (Pfafftown, N.C.) and never looked back on the way to a 28-7 victory on Saturday.

The War Eagles scored 21 points in the first quarter. Davie scored on a passing touchdown, a touchdown run by Johnathan Wiseman and a Cade Carney touchdown run.

DHS was up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter.

The Raiders' Josh Brice played well. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.



The Mocksville school's standout player in the win was Carney. The freshman quarterback ran for one touchdown.

Reagan's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard run by Brice in the second quarter.

The War Eagles went into the matchup giving up only 8.2 points per game.

Davie also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 28-17.

The defeat comes as a step back for Reagan, which notched a 48-14 victory over R.J. Reynolds in its previous outing.

Reagan (7-3) goes up against Mount Tabor in a 4A Central Piedmont game matchup next week, while Davie (8-2) locks horns with North Davidson also in a 4A Central Piedmont game.
