Volleyball Recap: Douglas County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Douglas County entered their tilt with Rock Canyon on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Jaguars 3-0. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Douglas County's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rock Canyon to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-22, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Douglas County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adriano Padilla, who had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Padilla has posted over his last eight matchups. Teagan Hackley also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

Douglas County's record now sits at 7-1. As for Rock Canyon, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Douglas County will welcome Ponderosa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Canyon, they will be taking part in a tournament against Vista PEAK Prep at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
