Softball Recap: Hunt Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hunt's offense. They came up short against the West Johnston Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Hunt's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for West Johnston, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Hunt will head out on the road to challenge Smithfield-Selma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Johnston, they will welcome Fike at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Demons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.63 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
