Baseball Game Preview: North Iowa Bison vs. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals

North Iowa is 0-9 against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura since June of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Bison will welcome the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Iowa took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Eagle Grove, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bison won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bison as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura was able to grind out a solid victory over North Union on Friday, taking the game 5-2. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
