Baseball Game Preview: Pleasantville Panthers vs. Lakeland Hornets

The Pleasantville Panthers will face off against the Lakeland Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Pleasantville and four for Lakeland.

On Tuesday, Pleasantville came up short against Hendrick Hudson and fell 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Lakeland didn't have quite enough to beat Walter Panas on Wednesday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly two runs.

Lakeland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sergio Hormazabal, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Pleasantville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lakeland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
