Soccer Recap: Alma Comes Up Short

Alma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They came up short against the Glenn Bobcats, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Alma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Glenn are ranked 82nd).

Alma's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Glenn, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alma will welcome Garber at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Garber will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Alma surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glenn, they will host Freeland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
