Volleyball Recap: Hurricane Takes a Loss

Hurricane entered their game against Desert Hills on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-12, 25-15.

Hurricane's offense was headlined by Adelaide Stout and Isabella Prete, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Teuila Alualu and her 18 assists.

Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Desert Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Hurricane will be taking part in a tournament against Judge Memorial Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
