Softball Recap: Antelope Comes Up Short

Antelope lost against Anthem Prep back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams lost 11-4 to the Eagles. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abigail Lucero made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Karyme Arana, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Antelope's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Anthem Prep, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Antelope will take on rival Salome at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Anthem Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Bagdad at 3:00 p.m. on the 25th.
