Volleyball Recap: Friday's Win Is Brazosport Christian's Third in Last Four Outings

Brazosport Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Memorial Lutheran on Friday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over Memorial Lutheran.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Brazosport Christian took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-4.

Malerie Gonzalez was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high. Jillian Garrett also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Brazosport Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Brazosport Christian and Memorial Lutheran will both be playing Second Baptist University-Model the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Eagle at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Memorial Lutheran will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on September 18.
