Baseball Recap: Thunderridge Has No Trouble Against Denver North

There's no place like home for ThunderRidge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Denver North Vikings on Wednesday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. That looming 9-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Grizzlies yet this season.

Max Bills spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits.

On the hitting side, Kyle Zebroski was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Fagerholt, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

ThunderRidge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

ThunderRidge now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Denver North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ThunderRidge will take on Arapahoe at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Denver North, they will square off against Denver South at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
