Soccer Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland faced Canyon Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Riverhawks who were credited with the win. The Canyon Ridge Riverhawks got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Highland Rams' one. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against Canyon Ridge this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat on Tuesday.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5-1. As for Canyon Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Highland nor Canyon Ridge have any future games scheduled.
