It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Classical ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Providence Country Day Knights 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Lady Purple/Athena as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Morales, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Classical's record is now 9-5. As for Providence Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Classical is set to square off against their familiar foe Times Squared Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Providence Country Day will face off against rival Davies Career & Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
